Alex Oppenheim is a technical and product expert to a global leader in the manufacturing of medical devices and software as a service solutions (SAAS) for patient care. In this role, he serves and supports a wide variety of professionals and communities making an impact through saving patient lives, bettering clinical outcomes and improving reporting, meeting quality guidelines and increasing bottom line revenue and profitability.
Alex is familiar with the fundamental concepts of emergency and critical care medicine, the software and product development and support lifecycle including JIRA, Kibana, AWS, Log Rocket, Team City, Miro, Draw.io, Figma, Power BI, Remote Server and Applications Management. He interacts collaboratively with a wide variety of both technical and non-technical professionals, including clinicians and medical staff, business executives, software engineers, product owners, sales and support reps, and implementation specialists, providing support from both immediate life-saving and mission critical solutions to long-term strategic solutions to help clients achieve clinical and operational excellence.
His research interests are in CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, traditional and generative AI, especially their applications in agriculture, medicine and social media. He is also interested in the convergence of machine learning and neural networks towards a human-like intelligence and the great debates of the pioneers of artificial intelligence such as Herbert Simon, Marvin Minsky, and more recently, Ray Kurzweil, Bill Joy and Martine Rothblatt. He is also interested in innovations in product design, sustainability and user experience. Personally, he enjoys photography and the great outdoors.
